Its one of the Earths great circles of latitude and is the most northerly place on Earth where the sun is immediately overhead at Mid Day.

This year on June 21 some very special places will be visited as the Sun tracks along Oman’s Tropic of Cancer before it starts its descent towards the south.

From the place where the sun first touches Oman, to its sizzling setting in the Rub al Khali; I toured Oman's Tropic of Cancer .
