Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Oman opened sharply on the heels of Qurm City Centre, with what seems to be a trend in Oman - a “soft opening’ .

Though welcoming guests now, the Al Bustan Palace will have its “hard opening ”, if there is such a term, on January 1st 2009 after it again hosts those guests for which is was originally built; Kings and Heads of State.

We always use the fact that we are locally based to visit hotels, especially ones that are yet to open, on behalf of our guests. If you wish to stay in Al Bustan - see the deals we have.  Of course we believe our visits add to the knowledge we have built up over the last 15 years of working in Oman’s growing tourist business so that we can anticipate and read between the lines when planning holidays for each of our clients. However despite visiting the Al Bustan Palace Hotel several times this summer the lobby, without workmen, still manages to take some of ones breath away with its new décor.

It was great to see familiar faces on hand, to welcome guests as well as new team members who will bring their own skills.

Though I didn't dine,  the Chefs were planning out menus to enjoy at a later date.

With winter weather in Oman currently at a balmy 32c it looks like the new Infinity pool will be a pleasure to use .
