I dropped into Al Bustan Palace Hotel today. Work is in the last stages for opening – the lobby looks quite dramatic – and overall very much nicer than before. The bedrooms final appearance is now rolled out ( the bed linen has more design than in my May visit) . The grounds look superb – and have been extended .

While walking through parts of the building it was very good to meet with old friends who have worked there since the opening. 80% of the staff have returned creating a sense of continuity while the other 20% will include celebrity chefs to enhance further Al Bustans wonderful dining experience.

I very much look forward to its reopening and am certain that it will create a new level of quality in Oman’s hotel business – to be enjoyed by all its visitors.
