Over the coastal region of Dhofar we saw two Verreaux's Eagles in the sky above us. Probably the largest Eagles in Oman they are also very distinctive and since the pair for a long time – I assume this was a male and female.

Higher up on the mountain Plateau of Jebel Samhan we were under the flight path of  8 Griffin Vultures as they glided over the mountain plateau. The Griffin, along with the Lappet Faced, is Oman’s largest Raptor .
